Title: Waxing Treatments Level 2
Accreditation: This course is a Level 2 qualification and is fully accredited by the Federation of Holistics Therapists (FHT).
Cost of the Course: The cost of this course is £435. Inclusive of VAT.
Course Fee Covers: The course fee covers all FHT assessment and exam fees, as well as,  Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology.

Brief: This level 2 Waxing training course taught at Brighton Holistics is comprehensive and practical.  This level 2 qualification course is a great way to start in the industry or for a therapist looking to extend their treatment portfolio to become a waxing technician.
Duration: This course is run over 2 days, with 1 additional tutorial day. You will receive as much ongoing support as needed during and after this course. Each day starting at 10.30 am and finishing around 4.30 pm. Due to the amount of information covered in the course, home studies of approximately two hours per week will be required. This course takes 2 months to complete.

Important Note: This course only takes place when required, if you are interested in taking this course please telephone the offices of Brighton Holistics on 01273 672 690 and select option one.

Requirements: This course is available for complete beginners with no previous experience. Applicants must be 18 years or over. Basic computer skills will be an advantage, as your portfolio will be completed online.
COVID-19 Alteration: Theory lessons will be carried out via using Zoom on an arranged date before the planned course start date. On the training day itself, the group will be split into a morning session, starting at 10 am till 12.30 and an afternoon session, starting 2 pm till 4.30 pm. Learners must bring their own models to work on during the practical module. Only two learners and their models (total of four people plus tutor) are permitted into the treatment room during this time. During the practical training session, a sealed bottled of water will be provided, but please feel free to bring a flask of hot drink with you for you and your model. Towels must be provided by the learner, and you will be asked to sign a disclaimer to say your towels have been freshly washed at 60°C or above. No towels will be provided by Brighton Holistics for models to use. Before any learner or model is allowed entry into the training room, their temperature will be checked to ensure it is under the allowed limit.

Waxing Treatments Level 2 Beauty Course – More Details

This level 2 Waxing training course taught at Brighton Holistics is comprehensive and practical.  This level 2 qualification course is a great way to start in the industry or for a therapist looking to extend their treatment portfolio to become a waxing technician.

Our Level 2 waxing course covers all areas of the face and body waxing (including leg waxing, bikini waxing, underarms, facial hair, and eyebrow wax) and you will also learn how to do hot waxing.

Waxing is one of the most popular salon treatments for which clients return every four to six weeks. Not only does this mean that you can make a fantastic income, but you will also see a quick return on your course investment. The wax is a natural product that permits fast, effective and almost painless removal of all superfluous hair.

During the course, we will cover the following topics:

  • Health, safety & hygiene
  • Anatomy & Physiology
  • Contraindications
  • Identification of products and equipment
  • Warm Wax
  • Hot Wax
  • Methods of hair removal
  • Contraindications & disorders
  • Client consultation
  • Aftercare advice
  • Preparation of Work Area

Due to the amount of information covered in the course, home studies of approximately two hours per week will be required.

Please note that one-day courses or online courses in Facials and Skin Care are not recognised qualifications. This means they do not meet the National Occupational Standard or Core Curriculum. Federation of Holistics Therapists (FHT) Level 2 Award in Waxing Treatments.

Course accreditation:

Class Size:

A maximum of six learners per class, this allows the tutor to monitor individuals progress and development. During a qualification course, learners must supply a model for the practical sessions (all days). The model would not be required until 1.15 pm. Please see the booking terms and conditions for information.

Manuals & Certification:

Training manuals will be downloadable to each learner via their online learning portal. These manuals will be available to download for 60 days once your course has started. It will be the learner’s responsibility to download and save the training manuals within this time. Manuals can be read on all devices. Certification for your course will be emailed to you once you have met the learning outcomes.

Learning Outcomes & Evidence of achievement:

Learners will be required to show the achievement of a range of relevant learning outcomes and assessment criteria, as set by the National Occupational Standard and Accrediting Body by:

  • Practical assessments and theoretical knowledge will be assessed during your training time.
  • You will need to complete ten case studies; this is made up of five clients each having two treatments along with a practical assessment.
  • All case studies are completed through the Brighton Holistics online assessment portal.
  • Certification will only be issued once you show that you are competent with this treatment and that you have met the range of learning outcomes and assessment criteria that have been set by the National Occupational Standards (NOS) and accrediting body.
  • Some professional bodies don’t require case studies, however, this does not meet the National Occupational Standards (NOS).

Dates, Bookings and Information:

This course doesn’t have a start date as it only runs when required.  You will need to call Brighton Holistics to confirm a date before booking. Once you have confirmed a date then you the course booking can be taken by ‘add to basket’ button. Then click ‘view basket’ (you can add as many items to the basket as you wish) and select ‘Processed to checkout’. You will then be required to complete the checkout process which requires you answering a number of questions. Now choose how you wish to pay; you have three options. PayPal, credit or debit card or over the telephone. You will also see an option to pay by instalments. Please note that this option is only available when booking a Level 3 qualification course. Short courses and online courses cannot be booked using instalment payments.

You will need to tick to confirm that you agree to and that you have read the Brighton Holistics Booking T’s & C’s. Once you have pressed proceed and payment has been made or registered, an email will be sent directly to you confirming that we have received your order. This will then be confirmed via another email when Brighton Holistics have processed your order and three days after that you will receive a ‘Welcome to Brighton Holistics’ email.
