Brighton Holistics are pleased to offer you the ‘Introduction To Body Massage’ training course in Brighton.

Title: Introduction To Body Massage 
Accreditation: This Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course is accredited by the Federation of Holistics Therapists (FHT).
Cost of the Course: The cost of this course is £110. Inclusive of VAT.

Brief: This one-day Introduction to Massage training course taught at Brighton Holistics is comprehensive and practical. The basic body massage is an excellent course; it is perfect for beginners wishing to use it on family or friends, or those who wish to brush up on their skills. This workshop is also ideal for couples looking to work together or learn how to give each other a massage.
Requirements: Learners must be 18 years or over.
COVID-19 Alteration: Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, for the foreseeable future, all theory and practical sessions for this course will be completed via Zoom.

We will study the theory of this subject during the morning session starting at 10.30am till 12.30pm and the practical session will then be from 1.30pm till 4.30pm.

Please note that case studies must be completed before certification will be issued. Your case studies are made up of two clients each having three treatments and you have one year to complete these case studies from the date of your course.

It is important that you meet the pre-courses requirements listed below and that you have the necessary equipment to complete the practical module of this course. If you have any questions, please contact us before the scheduled practical session. Please also ensure that you are able to set up a space with a treatment bed, ensuring that we are able to view the full routine during the practical training.

Brighton Holistics, we give you as much Zoom and email support as needed to make sure that you are competent in this therapy.

Once we can, we will revert back to face-to-face training, but only when it is safe to do so.

Introduction To Body Massage Course – More Details

This one-day Introduction to Massage training course taught at Brighton Holistics is comprehensive and practical. The basic body massage is an excellent course; it is perfect for beginners wishing to use it on family or friends, or those who wish to brush up on their skills. This workshop is also ideal for couples looking to work together or learn how to give each other a message.

During the course we will cover the following topics:

  • What is body massage?
  • The History of body massage,
  • Benefits of body massage,
  • Contraindications to body massage,
  • Massage movements,
  • Basic body massage routine.

Course information

Qualification gained:

Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) CPD Certificate in Introduction to Massage.

Course accreditation:

This Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course is accredited by the Federation of Holistics Therapists (FHT). This course has been awarded 5 CPD points.

Course Pre-requisites:

Please note that this course is an introductory course and does not form any part of a qualification. This course does not permit you to charge or to work on the general public, but can be used on friends and family.

Class Size:

A maximum of four learners per class, this allows the tutor to monitor individuals progress and development. As training is given in small groups, learners will be required to bring a model for each day of the training course, for you to practice the treatment on. Learners do not practice treatments on each other as this reduces the learning time by half. Please see the booking terms and conditions for information.

Manuals & Certification:

Training manuals will be downloadable to each learner via their online learning portal. These manuals will be available to download for 60 days once your course has started. It will be the learner’s responsibility to download and save the training manuals within this time. Manuals can be read on all devices.

Learning Outcomes & Evidence of achievement:

Practical assessments and theoretical knowledge will be assessed during your training time.

Dates, Bookings and Information:

All available dates are shown above under ‘Available start dates’. To book your course, simply choose the date you wish to start your course on and whether you wish to pay just the deposit or the full payment and click the ‘Add to basket’ button. Then click ‘View basket’ (you can add as many items to the basket as you wish) and select ‘Processed to checkout’. You will then be required to complete the checkout process which requires you answering a number of questions. Now choose how you wish to pay; you have three options. PayPal, credit or debit card or over the telephone. You will also see an option to pay by instalments. Please note that this option is only available when booking a Level 3 qualification course. Short courses and online courses cannot be booked using instalment payments.

You will need to tick to confirm that you agree to and that you have read the Brighton Holistics Booking T’s & C’s. Once you have pressed proceed and payment has been made or registered, an email will be sent directly to you confirming that we have received your order. This will then be confirmed via another email when Brighton Holistics have processed your order and three days after that you will receive a ‘Welcome to Brighton Holistics’ email.
