Brief: | Refresher course – both a theory and practical course designed for anyone who in their work could be called upon to administer first aid. |
Requirements: | You must have previously passed the First Aid at Work 3 Day (RQF). |
COVID-19 Alteration: | Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, for the foreseeable future, all theory lessons will be carried out using Zoom. This will mean that your first aid courses will be completed by using zoom. The tutor will complete and demonstrate the required modules such as CPR, Defibration and Recovery position. There will be plenty of time for open discussion and asking questions.

First Aid at Work Requalification Training Course – More Details
Our Qualsafe Accredited First Aid at Work Refresher (FAWR) Level 2 (RQF) updates the first aid skills for people who need to renew their statutory first aid at work certificate and whose existing certificate is still in date.
Who should attend? This First Aid at Work Refresher course is for people wishing to renew a valid first aid at work certificate. If your qualification has expired, this course can be taken within 28 days to renew your current First Aid at work qualification.
This course can only be taken if you currently hold a First Aid at Work qualification. It can be taken up to two months before or within twenty-eight days after expiry.
During the course you will study:
- Legalities, responsibilities and reporting,
- Assessment of the situation,
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty,
- Control of bleeding,
- Head injuries,
- Control of bleeding,
- Resuscitation,
- Bandaging,
- Eye injuries,
- Poisoning,
- Sprains,
- Choking,
- Shock,
- Fractures,
- Strains,
- Burns.

Qualification gained:
Level 3 Award in First Aid at work (RQF)
Course accreditation:
This course is accredited by the Qualsafe. This course is regulated by Ofqual.
Course Pre-requisites:
The Learner must be over 18, or if under 18 must be accompanied by a chaperone.
Class Size:
A maximum of six learners per class this allows the tutor to monitor individual progress and development. If you require more than six places please advise us we can facilitate for twelve learners. Please see the booking terms and conditions for information.
Learning Outcomes & Evidence of achievement:
Learners will be required to show achievement of a range of relevant learning outcomes and assessment criteria, as set by the National Occupational Standard (NOS) and Accrediting Body by: –
- Practical assessments and theoretical knowledge will be assessed during your training time.
Dates, Bookings and Information:
This course doesn’t have a start date as it only runs when required. You will need to call Brighton Holistics to confirm a date before booking. Once you have confirmed a date then you the course booking can be taken by ‘add to basket’ button. Then click ‘view basket’ (you can add as many items to the basket as you wish) and select ‘Processed to checkout’. You will then be required to complete the checkout process which requires you answering a number of questions. Now choose how you wish to pay; you have three options. PayPal, credit or debit card or over the telephone. You will also see an option to pay by instalments. Please note that this option is only available when booking a Level 3 qualification course. Short courses and online courses cannot be booked using instalment payments.
You will need to tick to confirm that you agree to and that you have read the Brighton Holistics Booking T’s & C’s. Once you have pressed proceed and payment has been made or registered, an email will be sent directly to you confirming that we have received your order. This will then be confirmed via another email when Brighton Holistics have processed your order and three days after that you will receive a ‘Welcome to Brighton Holistics’ email.
