You can pay the whole course fee at time of booking if preferred. If payment isn’t made fourteen days before the course start day your place on the course may be terminated should the course be full and someone else wishes to take your place. You will be invoiced for the balance payment and it is the learner’s responsibility to make sure this is paid on the due date. Brighton Holistics reserves the right to pursue any non-payment legally.
In the unlikely event the course date you have chosen is cancelled by Brighton Holistics, you will be offered an alternative date. If you cannot attend this date, then Brighton Holistics will refund your deposit and/or all course fees that have been paid. - If you chose not to complete for course once you have started for any reason, no refund will be given.
Please ensure that you are booking onto the correct course. Refunds will not be available to any learner who has started or completed a course, who then decides that it does not meet with their requirements.

Course Instalment Payments
If a payment plan is arranged between Brighton Holistics and the learner to fund a course this will be at 0% interest. The payment plan is set up at the time of paying the deposit and cannot be set up once the course has been confirmed. An invoice will be sent to you on the 1st of each month for the agreed amount and must be paid within 7 days. A loan agreement between Brighton Holistics and the learner must be signed. Attached to this loan agreement will be a copy of all the invoices and a breakdown of what invoice needs to be paid on what date. Proof of address must be supplied (copy of driving license or latest utility bill) when returning the loan agreement. Apart from sending your monthly invoice, Brighton Holistics will not chase you for your monthly payments. Any late payments will be liable for a 20% late payment fee. All courses must be paid in full before the course start date unless otherwise agreed with Brighton Holistics. Once a payment plan is in place full payment must be made even if you decide to cancel the course or decide to leave the course before the course completion for whatever reason. Course fees cannot be transferred to an alternate course or start date, but are non-refundable. Please note that a loan agreement can only be put in place for people who live in the United Kingdom. Brighton Holistics reserves the right to pursue any non-payment legally.
The qualification gained from our short course will only be accepted for professional practice and insurance if the learner holds the prerequisites of a recognised accredited Level 3 or 4 Body Sports Massage / Aromatherapy / Reflexology / Beauty (level 2 or 3) qualification. Please also note that if you wish to study a level 3 qualification there are no pre-course requisites.
Please note that some one day courses or online courses, offered by other providers, in Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology and other practical therapies may not be recognised qualifications which means they do not meet the National Occupational Standard or Core Curriculum.
It is the learner’s responsibility to check with their insurance company and or professional body, that they hold the required pre-course requisites before attending a course at Brighton Holistics. It is NOT the responsibility of Brighton Holistics and Brighton Holistics will not be held liable for any fees incurred for training which is then not recognised by the learners’ insurance company due to not having the pre-course requirements.
License to Practice Therapy
Some London boroughs require therapists to have a license and specific qualifications (ie: FHT, VTCT, NVQ or Level 3). It is each student’s responsibility to check that the course they have booked onto will meet the requirements of their local council or any employer whom they wish to work for. This must be done before booking onto a training course as refunds are not available to any student who has started or completed a course, who then decides that it does not meet with their requirements.
Tutors and Courses
Brighton Holistics has male and female tutors and courses are open to both men and women. We are unfortunately unable to guarantee whether your course will be offered by a male or female tutor. If you explicitly do not wish to practice on a male or female client, then you may be required to provide your own model for your training.
Course Start Times
- All courses start at 10.30am
- All courses finish around 4.30pm
- A Half day will finish at 2pm
If, you find that you may be arriving late for a course, we require you to contact the Brighton Holistics as soon as possible. You must make contact before 10.30am (the start time for the course). If you arrive later than 30 minutes after your course start time, you may not be able to participate with the course and may be required to attend a future training date, where an additional fee of £80 will be charged. This is entirely at the discretion of Brighton Holistics. Please do your best to avoided lateness by checking the route to Brighton Holistics well in advance and researching alternative routes if delays seem likely. Note that by just entering the Postcode in a Sat Nav or Google Maps, you will not be taken directly to course location, you must enter the street number as well. Please see your welcome manual, which was e-mailed to you when you booked your course, for full directions and instructions on how to get to the course venue.
Photographing or Videoing (with I-phone, tablet or any other device)
Students are NOT PERMITTED to take pictures or to film fellow students, tutors or procedures on any courses at any time without the express permission of Brighton Holistics. If, due to a learning requirement, you wish to film any training, you must make Brighton Holistics aware of this before the start of your course so that we can discuss with your potential options in this regard. If any learner is found to be filming without permission, the learner will be asked to delete any images or film and to show proof that they have done it. If the learner continues to film after being asked not to, they will be asked to leave the training and no refund for the course will be offered.

Training Manuals, Case Studies and Certification
Brighton Holistics uses a computerised education system called a “Moodle” (we call this the Learners Portal) for all courses. This system is used across all education levels and is easy to use. You will need to have basic computer skills to use this system. An email will be sent to you on your training day giving you the information you need to access this system.
Training Manuals: Will be downloadable to each learner via their online Learning Portal. These manuals will be available to download for 60 days once your course has started. It will be the learner’s responsibility to download and save their training manuals within this time. Manuals can be read on all devices.
Case Studies: Each qualification course (level 2, 3 and 4) will require case studies. Short course may also require you to complete case studies to obtain a full diploma certificate. This information will be shown on the relevant course website page. All case studies will need to be uploaded to the Learners Portal. It is the learner’s responsibility to make sure that all work is saved and backed up. Once the learning outcomes have been achieved and you have completed your course, the Learners Portal will be saved and archived and you will no longer have access to this course.
Certification: You will be required to upload a copy of your Level 3 qualification to the Learners Portal, before certification can be issued. This is a requirement from the course accreditor. It is the learners’ responsibility to ensure they have the required pre-course requisite before booking onto a course.
Certification for your course will be emailed to you once you have met the learning outcomes.
If you complete a Short Diploma / CPD course, but choose to complete with a CPD certificate, we will not be able to offer a diploma certificate after the CPD certificate has been issued. For further information on the difference between CPD and Diploma certification please click here.
Please make sure you keep copies of manuals and certificates as duplicates will not be issued.
Please also note that if you fail to log in to the system for 60 days, the system automatically removes you, and all uploaded work and grades will be deleted. It is the learners’ responsibility to log in and keep the system updated, not Brighton Holistics. Brighton Holistics will not be responsible for work which is lost or deleted.
Course Timeframe – Short CPD and Diploma Courses
All short courses which require case studies must be completed within 2 months (60 days) of your course start date. The course can only be extended by 6 months after the original 2 months. There will be a £40 administration fee for extending your course. After this time, you will be required to start the course again at your expense.
Course Timeframe – Level 3 Qualifications
Course work must be completed within the 10 month allotted timeframe. Courses can only be deferred with the express permission of Brighton Holistics. You must apply in writing for an extension and documentation may be required from you for this. There will be an £80 administration fee for extending your course. If the course over runs and goes over a 12 month period from the course start date you will be required to attend additional training and will be required to pay for this time. The course can only be extended to a maximum of 18 months from your original course start date. After this time, you will be required to start the course again at the full current course price.

You must apply in writing for an extension and documentation may be required from you for this. There will be an £80 administration fee for extending your course. If the course over runs and goes over a 6 month period from the course start date you will be required to attend additional training and will be required to pay for this time. The course can only be extended to a maximum of 12 months from your original course start date. After this time, you will be required to start the course again at the full current course price.
Assessments For Level 2, 3 and 4 Qualifications
All the prices shown on the Brighton Holistics website include Vat and one final assessment.
Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early for your assessment. If you are more than 5 minutes late this will be an instant fail and you will be invited to retake. An £120 administration fee will be applied if this happens.
Please make sure that you arrive ready for your assessment. Therapy dress and professional standards must be adhered to during your assessment and you must arrive ready for the assessment. Nail varnish and false nails must be removed before any assessment.
Please note once your assessment has been confirmed your assessment cannot be cancelled, as the assessor and external assessor have been booked and confirmed. If you fail to turn up or cancel your assessment this will result in an £120 cancelation fee being applied. Assessment dates are set by the internal assessor, external assessor and external verifier not Brighton Holistics.
Please note that attending the assessment does not mean that you have passed, your assessment will be made up of three parts; practical, theory underpinning knowledge and observation. If you do not meet the required level, you will be asked to return for extra training and to take another assessment. There will be a fee of £80 for this additional assessment which will take place on the next planned assessment date.
Please note that the assessment can be stopped at any time by the client/model or the assessor if either feels that the standards are not being met. The reasons for stopping the assessment will be explained and documented on the assessment paperwork. Some assessments will be recorded. Lost coursework is the reasonability of the learner not Brighton Holistics.
Please bring with you four large towels to use during the treatment along with a blank copy of your consultation form and aftercare documents.
After you have completed the practical and theory assessment you will be notified within seven working days of your assessment date whether or not you have met the required level to pass. Your mark will be a pass or fail.
Your completed portfolio must be ready for the assessment day. All modules of your course must be completed, nothing can be outstanding. Please make sure that everything is uploaded two days before your assessment date. On the day of your assessment your portfolio will be locked and you will no longer have access to it.
Please make sure that you bring your login details for the online portal, so that you can complete your A&P and final assessments.

This excludes scheduled downtime that is occasionally required for upgrades and is agreed with Brighton Holistics in advance. We endeavour to register all training courses within 24 to 48 hours of taking the booking. If a booking is made during normal office hours – Monday – Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm, excluding UK bank holidays, this may be completed quicker.
All certificates are sent via email, once the learning outcomes have been achieved. Please make sure you keep copies of manuals and certificates as duplicates will not be issued.
Cancellations (online courses)
Once you have received the online course you have a 7 day cooling off period. However, once you have logged onto the course Portal, no refund will be issued, even if this falls within the first 7 days.
All online courses must be completed within 12 months. Courses can only be deferred with the permission of Brighton Holistics. You must apply in writing for an extension and documentation may be required from you for this.
Marking Your Coursework
All submitted work is marked by a qualified Assessor and monitored by an IQA (Internal Quality Assurance). We aim to mark all coursework within ten working days of submission. Your Learners Portfolio is marked continually during your course, so please upload work as you complete it, instead of uploading a large number of documents all at once. If there is going to be a delay in marking, we will endeavour to publish this information beforehand within the Learners Portal.
Each course has a final assessment which is completed via the online system.
The system will choose the theory questions and labelling questions for your assessment from a question bank, so we are not able to advise what will be in the assessment.
You cannot take the final assessment until you have met all the learning outcomes required to take the course. These are clearly explained in all our courses.
If you are completing the Anatomy and Physiology final assessment for a level 3 qualification, such as Body massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy etc. this must be completed with an assessor observing your assessment, and is completed online by using Facetime or Skype. Once you are ready to take your assessment, please email the Brighton Holistics Administration Office on admin@brightonholistics to schedule a time. If you are taking Anatomy and Physiology as a general knowledge subject this does not need to be witnessed by the assessor.
Please note that when you are completing your online assessments you must make sure that you have a good Wi-Fi, 3g or 4g connection. If the signal keeps breaking then your assessment will be cancelled and you will have to reschedule your assessment. This will be classed as a failed assessment.
Please note that a final assessment can only be taken once, an administration fee of £40 will be charged per additional assessment.
All our courses are invigilated by an assessor to maintain quality of the course and the qualification. Course certificates are normally issued within 5 working days after completing your final assessment. Office hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, excluding bank holidays.
At the end of the course you will be sent a feedback form via email. This is extremely important to us to make sure that we are offering the correct level of service. Please take the time to complete this as we value your comments.
If, in the unlikely event, you feel you wish to make a complaint against Brighton Holistics, our complaints procedure can be found in your Learners Welcome Manual.
