Brighton Holistics reserves the right to pursue any non-payment legally.
3.1 – Paypal Credit
Brighton Holistics has set up an agreement with PayPal to allow our learners to use PayPal Credit. The PayPal Credit agreement is between the learner and PayPal and has no association with Brighton Holistics. The Brighton Holistics terms and conditions will not be altered, effected or amended in any way if this is the chosen payment method. The PayPal credit facility is another option to pay for your course(s).
3.2 – Telephone Orders
A member of the Brighton Holistics Administration team will contact you within three working days (Monday to Friday) during 9 am and 5 pm to take your card details. If the course is not paid for within three days of the order being placed, the course will be cancelled.
4.1 – Insurance
The qualification gained from our short course will only be accepted for professional practice and insurance if the learner holds the prerequisites of a recognised accredited Level 3 or 4 Body Sports Massage / Aromatherapy / Reflexology / Beauty (level 2 or 3) qualification. Please also note that if you wish to study a level 3 qualification, there are no pre-course requisites.
4.2 – Please note that some one-day courses or online courses, offered by other providers, in Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology and other practical therapies may not be recognised qualifications which means they do not meet the National Occupational Standard or Core Curriculum.
4.3 – It is the learner’s responsibility to check with their insurance company and or professional body, that they hold the required pre-course requisites before attending a course at Brighton Holistics. It is NOT the responsibility of Brighton Holistics, and Brighton Holistics will not be held liable for any fees incurred for training which is then not recognised by the learners’ insurance company due to not having the pre-course requirements.
5 – License to Practice Therapy
Some London boroughs require therapists to have a license and specific qualifications (i.e., FHT, VTCT, NVQ or Level 3). It is each student’s responsibility to check that the course they have booked onto will meet the requirements of their local council or any employer whom they wish to work for. This must be done before booking onto a training course as refunds are not available to any student who has started or completed a course, who then decides that it does not meet their requirements.
6.1 – Tutors and Courses
Brighton Holistics has male and female tutors, and courses are open to both men and women. We are unfortunately unable to guarantee whether your course will be offered by a male or female tutor. If you explicitly do not wish to practice on a male or female client, then you may be required to provide your own model for your training.
6.2 – If you have booked onto a Swedish Body Massage Level 3 course or a Body Massage Level 3 course, or if your courses contains Body Massage Level 3 we will upgrade you to Sports Massage Level 3. This will be of great benefit to you, as this course will give you much more underpinning knowledge and additional techniques which can be used in your massage therapy when qualified. You will be award two qualifications Body Massage Level 3 and Sports Massage Level 3.

7.2 – Class Size:
We believe that small groups are best for training. We always try to work with a maximum of eight learners per class, which allows the tutor to monitor individuals progress and development. On very rare occasions we may need to add additional learners to a group, however, we would never have more than ten learners in a class.
7.3 – Late Arrival
If you find that you may be arriving late for a course, we require you to contact the Brighton Holistics as soon as possible. You must make contact before 10.30am (the start time for the course). If you arrive later than 15 minutes after your course start time, you will not be able to participate with the course and will be required to attend a future training date, where an additional fee of £145 will be charged. Please do your best to avoided lateness by checking the route to Brighton Holistics well in advance and researching alternative routes if delays seem likely. Note that by just entering the Postcode into a Sat Nav or Google Maps, you will not be taken directly to the course location, you must enter the street number as well. Please see your welcome manual, which was e-mailed to you when you booked your course, for full directions and instructions on how to get to the course venue.
8 – Photographing or Videoing/recording (with I-phone, tablet or any other device)
Learners are NOT PERMITTED to take pictures or to film or record fellow students, tutors or procedures on any courses at any time without the express permission of Brighton Holistics. If due to a learning requirement, you wish to film or record any training, you must make Brighton Holistics aware of this before the start of your course so that we can discuss with you your potential options in this regard. If any learner is found to be filming or recording without permission, the learner will be asked to delete any images, film or recordings and to show proof that they have done it. If the learner continues to film or record after being asked not to, they will be asked to leave the training, and no refund for the course will be offered.

Please note that we do not email manuals or send out training manuals before the course start date.

This information will be shown on the relevant course website page. All case studies will need to be uploaded to the Learners Portal. It is the learner’s responsibility to make sure that all work is saved and backed up. Once the learning outcomes have been achieved, and you have completed your course, the Learners Portal will be saved and archived, and you will no longer have access to this course.
12.4 – Certification: On a Short Diploma / CPD course, you will be required to upload a copy of your Level 3 qualification to the Learners Portal before certification can be issued. 12.8 – Please also note that if you fail to log in to the system for 60 days, the system automatically removes you, and all uploaded work and grades will be deleted. 14.4 – Please note that the assessment can be stopped at any time by the client/model or the assessor if either feels that the standards are not being met. The reasons for stopping the assessment will be explained and documented on the assessment paperwork.

This excludes scheduled downtime that is occasionally required for upgrades and is agreed with Brighton Holistics in advance. The system is very stable, and downtime is extremely rare, however, should the Moodle service be lost for a period of time due to circumstances beyond the control of Brighton Holistics, Brighton Holistics takes no responsibility whatsoever for any loss of business or earnings and will not under any circumstances be liable for any costs, losses or inconvenience incurred directly or indirectly from the downtime.

23 – Marking Your Coursework
All submitted work is marked by a qualified Assessor and monitored by an IQA (Internal Quality Assurance). We aim to mark all coursework within twenty-one working days of submission. Your Learners Portfolio is marked continually during your course, so please upload work as you complete it, instead of uploading a large number of documents all at once. If there is going to be a delay in marking, we will endeavour to publish this information beforehand within the Learners Portal.
23.1 – Online Assessments
Each course has a final assessment which is completed via the online system.
The system will choose the theory questions and labelling questions for your assessment from a question bank, so we are not able to advise what will be in the assessment.
You cannot take the final assessment until you have met all the learning outcomes required to take the course. These are clearly explained in all our courses.
23.2 – If you are completing the Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology final assessment for a level 3 qualification, such as Body massage, Reflexology, Aromatherapy etc. this must be completed with an assessor observing your assessment and is completed online by using our online assessment program called “GoToMeeting”. If you are taking Anatomy and Physiology as a general knowledge subject, this does not need to be witnessed by the assessor.
Please note – ITEC and VTCT qualification exam have to be invigilated by an assessor and we are one of the few training schools who meet the requirements to allow you to complete your online assessment online in your own home and country. However, if you wish you can always come to our training venue in Brighton to complete the assessment. To be able to complete your final assessment online, you must have access to our assessment program called “GoToMeeting”.
Final assessment dates will be given to you once you have reached the needed learning outcomes and when you advise us that you are ready. You must notify us of your chosen exam date at least eight weeks before the final assessment exam date. Please note that if you are not taking your final assessment at Brighton Holistics, Brighton Holistics cannot be responsible for the assessment date given to you or the timeframe by other training establishments.
23.3 – It is the learns responsibility to make sure that all coursework is saved and backed up. Lost coursework is the reasonability of the learner, not Brighton Holistics. If you are completing your assessment with another ITEC or VTCT assessment centre, you must take your original Pathology assignments with you on your assessment day, failure to do this would mean you can’t sit your assessment.
23.4 – Please note that when you are completing your online assessments, you must make sure that you have a good Wi-Fi, 3g or 4g connection. If the signal keeps breaking, then your assessment will be cancelled, and you will have to reschedule your assessment. This will be classed as a failed assessment. You must also have access to a web camera. For further information on the program we use for assessment please click on this link. https://support.logmeininc.com/gotomeeting/help/join-a-test-session-g2m050001. You may be asked to download an app or software to give you full functionality. Your Assessment will also be recorded for assessment Invigilation purposes.

Please note that this fee will be £100 for an ITEC or VTCT qualification. If you are completing your assessment at another ITEC or VTCT assessment, there’s cost may differ. The Learner would need to pay the chosen assessment centre fees and not Brighton Holistics.
All our courses are invigilated by an assessor to maintain the quality of the course and the qualification. Course certificates are normally issued within five working days after completing your final assessment. Office hours are Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm, excluding bank holidays.
